Manufacturing secrets - The Azulejos collection

Inspired by the achievements of Antoni Gaudí, architect and creator of genius, the Azulejos collection is an watercolor reinterpretation of the famous Güell park where curves, colors and mosaics are mixed. Anne Josse, director of the offer at Carré Blanc, reveals the secrets of manufacturing this double decor bed set.

What were the inspirations for drawing this collection?

The Azulejos collection is an initiatory journey in the heart of Barcelona and architecture. This bed set is inspired by the works of Antoni Gaudí, a completely singular artist, master of Art Nouveau. Through this bed set, we wanted to go out of the beaten track, go explore architecture. This collection celebrates Gaudí's work and is part of the trend of curves.

What makes the singularity of this collection?

The challenge of this collection was to translate 3D effects with 2D, create relief by thwarting the platitude of bed linen. We have managed to transcribe these material effects thanks to watercolor treatment, with patterns of flowers and arabesques that recall mosaics. The Azulejos bed set is a tribute to craftsmanship, especially ceramics.

For what type of interior has this set been designed?

The Azulejos collection offers a double decor. It has a multicolored side in fairly soft tones, perfect for dressing the room at the end of the summer. On the other side, there is a monochrome micro-motive, much more minimalist and graphic. This bed set therefore makes it possible to vary the styles and can integrate both in an urban and bohemian interior.
